Second annual International Au Pair and Host Family Days to kick off next month

August 19, 2011

Throughout September and October, AuPairCare will be sponsoring weekend events for their second annual International Au Pair and Host Family Day. AuPairCare has been one of the leading au pair agencies helping au pairs find work in the United States since 1989, and have placed more than 40,000 nannies from over 40 countries with American families.

"International Au Pair and Host family Day events allow AuPairCare host families, au pairs and representatives the chance to interact with their community and celebrate a diversity of cultures from around the globe," said the agency's vice president Heidi Woehl. "Welcoming an au pair into your home is more than just child care - it provides your children with a window to the world."

The events, which will be held in nearly 100 communities across America, will give interested families a chance to learn about the benefits of au pair services. It will also be a time for au pairs to share their experiences and tips with one another, such as how to avoid home sickness. Au pairs can stay in touch with each other and their families back home with calling cards, so they don't run up their host families' phone bills making long-distance calls.
