We think that practical niche pixel icon sets is the old-school trend that will survive Vista glitter and is something web designers to rely on. Established in 1996 ComFi created a specific telecom icon set in 32x32 px in Jan 2010.
Some icons could have a more general application, like the receptionist, feedback, guarantee, help. Others are not: wifi, voip, vpn, bluetooth.
